On Feb. 23, architect David Baker, and one of his firm’s principals, Caroline Souza, gave a presentation to about 50 people at the Warehouse Artist Lofts in Sacramento. In a city that continues to be gripped by an affordable housing crisis, the message Baker and Souza were sharing from their firm’s book is one that could be useful: that stylish and convivial affordable housing can be built to serve its residents and surrounding areas.
