Nonprofit housing developer Mercy Housing California is sketching out the next phase of Rancho Cordova’s Mather Veterans Village, with a goal to make it a bit different from previous ones.
Though still in its early stages, the next 120 units in the project at the former Mather Air Base should reflect a variety of housing types and may include a commercial component as well.
“This allows us to really expand our footprint and create another opportunity to diversify housing types and household types,” said Stephan Daues, a representative for Mercy Housing. “The biggest signal it sends is there’s still such a significant need for veterans’ housing.”
