Elk Grove has put out a request for proposals for affordable housing at two different sites, including one not far from where the city rejected another such proposal in controversial fashion.
Both sites are city-owned parcels, one in its historic Old Town area and the other in Sheldon Farms, where the city acquired them specifically for future affordable housing.
“We’ve done some pre-marketing research and received some early interest,” said Christopher Jordan, the city’s director of strategic planning and innovation, adding the city expects submittals for both sites.
