Developer Excelerate Housing Group and the city of Elk Grove appear to be nearing a settlement in a legal dispute over a proposed affordable housing project in Elk Grove’s Old Town area.
In a statement issued by city Public Affairs Manager Kristyn Laurence Wednesday afternoon, the city announced a settlement in principle for the dispute over Oak Rose Apartments that includes moving the project to a different location.
“The settlement is not final,” the statement said. “Staff is asking the City Council to postpone action tonight on the Project and continue the matter to their January 24, 2024 meeting in order to finalize the settlement details and settlement documents.”
