Mutual Housing California’s next affordable housing project is weeks away from starting construction at the former site of a motel on Stockton Boulevard.
Funding apportioned through the city and county of Sacramento this week will get San Juan Apartments, a 113-unit project, off the ground, said Mutual Housing Vice President of Real Estate Ryan Cassidy.
“The parcel is pretty unique because it’s in the city and the county,” he said of 5700 Stockton Blvd., a cleared 5.5-acre site. “We’re excited to get it going.”
