José Vadi read excerpts from “Chipped: Writing From a Skateboarder’s Lens,” a collection of his essays on skate culture, at Amatoria Fine Art Books in Sacramento for a Hangout Gigs Live event on Wednesday, May 28.  

Vadi is essayist, poet, playwright and film producer, and his writing credits include “Chipped,” “Inter State: Essays from California” and a short fiction story for 2025’s “Sacramento Noir,” an anthology of short stories that take place in Sacramento, written by Sacramentans.
