Sacramento indie band ghostplay performs “Opaque” for Hangout Gigs, a monthly series spotlighting Sacramento-based musicians.

Drawing from influences like Snowden, Deerhunter, Exploded View and Diiv, ghostplay creates experimental soundscapes blended with ambient electronic textures. The band includes Jason Hess (bass/vocals), Izzy Hess (guitar/vocals) and Armando Gonzales (drums). Featuring melodic lead guitar hooks, pulsating basslines, and haunting, atmospheric vocals, their music evokes cinematic visions of “moonlit shores and shadowy alleyways.”
