Sacramento jazz drummer, music educator and band leader Alex Jenkins performs original composition “Raven’s Ascent” for Hangout Gigs, a monthly series that features Sacramento-based musicians and artists.
Jenkins is joined by Daniel Owens on piano, Ian Barlow on Bass and Dyne Eifertsen on trombone.
Jenkins describes the Sacramento music scene as “alive and well” and, as an educator, takes pride in seeing former students launch their own musical projects and careers.
