Sacramento psychedelic punk band The Snares performs “This Sun Will Scorch Your Eyes” for Hangout Gigs, a series spotlighting Sacramento-based musicians.
After releasing their independently produced debut EP in 2023, the four-piece signed with San Francisco’s Psyched! Records, a label by independent radio station Psyched! Radio SF. The band is working to record and release a new album before the end of 2025.
The Snares members Izzie Gomez (vocals/guitar), Lucas Brodie (drums), Julian Paz (bass) and Danielle Judith (vocals/synth) blend the sonics of 1960s and ’70s rock with a touch of 2000s garage punk.
